Best Tacos in Mexico City

we answer

YOU ASK

Am I going to get sick from eating Mexican street food or tacos?

The probabilities are very low however the truth is we don’t know. We don’t know you personally. A bit of uneasiness is normal for people that are not used to eating Mexican food, or if your stomach doesn’t react positively to acid, spicy or salty textures. We highly recommend that you take it one step at a time you definitely know yourself that is why at every tasting you get one taco if you feel you can't go through with the tasting just listen to your body.
Food poisoning can come from anywhere even a high-end restaurant; we carefully chose these taco stands so there is nothing to worry about. But please fell free to let us know when you think something isn’t going to agree with your body.

How safe is Mexico City? Will I be safe on this tour?
How do I book a tour with El Taco Club?

All of the tour areas that we chose are a safe areas. We have never experienced any acts of violence on our tour routes. However we strongly recommend not to bring valuables such as: passport, fancy jewellery and just be aware of your surroundings and careful of your belongings.

I’d like to book your tour for the same day I arrive. Can I do the tour if I come straight from the airport?

We don’t recommend the tour to be booked the same day you arrive due to the fact that your flight could be delayed or you could be delayed in customs as well, airports are complicated. Also the altitude of the city might be higher than what you are accustomed to so you might need to get use to this height first. You could get tired easily or run out of breath in our 3 to 4 hr. route.

Can you pick me up from my hotel? How will I return, once the tour is over?

El Taco Club does not include transportation, when you book a tour you will receive an email with instructions and the exact location of the meeting point. It is your responsibility to get to that point 10 minutes before we start.

Is English spoken?

Yes English is spoken, in fact the tour is in English. Our guides are Mexicans that are very fluent in English, but we can also do the tour in Spanish if you prefer.

How soon must I book a tour?

We prefer the tour to be booked at least at one week notice, but we know it’s not always possible. So at least 24 hours in advance is the latest you can book a tour with us. If by some reason you want to do it within hours of the tour feel free to email us at hola@eltaco.club
